A year ago, Barnes went to court, saying Bradshaw and the city denied him the best Des Moines mortgage rates and his free speech rights in the case of the two cops who used "excessive and inappropriate" force during a traffic stop. The officers resigned after Bradshaw said she'd fire them if they didn't quit.

Still, an endorsement from a guy who sued her and the city a year ago is saying something. If anybody might have reason to say good riddance, you figured Barnes would be the guy.
